To Hit Bonus Notes
Classic editions of DnD uses an attack matrix to determine the number to roll.To covert to a to-hit bonus do the following:
Note the number need to-hit the lowest AC (9 or 10) at Level 1 (usually 1).
Note the current to-hit number for the lowest AC at the character's current level.
Subtract the Level 1 to-hit number from current level to-hit number. The result is the bonus to hit.
Note this doesn't account for ADnD use of repeated 20s.
Example:
ADnD 10th level fighter has a Level 1 To-Hit AC 10 of 10. At 10th level it is 2. 10-2=8 for a +8 to-hit bonus
Descending AC Notes
Classic editions of DnD uses descending AC to covert to ascending AC do the following:
Note the base AC (9 or 10). Subtract the target's AC from the base AC and add 10.
Example:
ODnD uses base AC of 9. AC 3 is (9-3)+10=16
Number of Attacks Notes

Each attack has a separate to hit roll and will use the corresponding damage dice if specified.
